Most of these photographs show Pennypack Creek, in Northeast Philadelphia and Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, circa 1900-1915. The images are just a small part of the holdings of the Frankford Historical Society, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2005, and has one of the best local history collections in the area. Many of its holdings, which focus on the Frankford and Northeast sections of Philadelphia, are unique and can be found in no other institution.
